Ok, the workhorse has never been wrong with one of it’s predictions on Oscar winners, (on a small note, I don’t think we’ve made any either, but that’s beside the point)! Cross my palm with silver, and I’ll look into my crystal ball, but wait, the fog is lifting…
I’m predicting an ‘America is great’ Oscars, with a bit of a clean sweep for ‘slavery is bad’ man Lincoln. That is of course without having seen the movie, which isn’t release here for another two weeks.
Beasts of the Southern Wild – Great that this got a nomination, and should really help to get it’s name out there. It’s a lovely movie.
Silver Linings Playbook – Surprised this one got as much attention as it did, but it’s an enjoyable enough romp
Zero Dark Thirty – It was always going to happen. Another ‘America is great’ movie (again I haven’t seen it). Could it steal the title away from Lincoln? Nah.
Lincoln – Yeah, it has to win really, doesn’t it?
Les Miserables – Lesley Miserable again.
Life of Pi – Or how I found god? Nice that it got a nomination, but doesn’t really deserve to win.
Amour – Probably the best movie on the list, even if it’s tough going. Sad and beautiful.
Django Unchained – I loved Quentin going mental on the channel 4 news! He really does shut some butts down.
Argo – No idea why this is here?
