Things to do in Dublin this week (27-1-14 – 2-2-14)

Bill Callahan is in Dublin, yes, that Bill Callahan, of Smog fame, and even (Smog) fame, if you want to get precious about it. It’s hard to compete with that for your highlights of the week, but there’s also the opening of ‘The Tender Thing‘ in the Project and a variety of other exciting things around the city. Project Arts Centre – A Tender Thing previews 27th, opens the 28th of Feb, runs until the 2nd Feb.

Smock Alley has Death Row Cowboy from the 27th until the 1st Feb.

Viking Theatre has a Break a Leg (Peter Sheridan) until the 1st of Feb.

The New Theatre has the Fionnuala until the 8th of Feb.

Samuel Beckett Theatre The Brothers Karamazov until the 1st Feb.


The Gaiety Theatre has A Skull in Connemara until the 2nd of Feb.

The Civic Theatre has Tom Crean – Antartic Explorer and The Exchequer’s Apprentice until the 1st Feb.

Theatre Upstairs reopens its doors with Dig until the 8th Feb.

Coen Brothers Season is in full flow at the Lighthouse with the No Country for Old Men on the 27th

Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll season is on at the IFI, with the first part Sex running this week, with The Night Porter and The Beast this week.

The National Theatre Liver is on this week with CORIOLANUS – Starring: Tom Hiddleston, Mark Gatiss, Directed by: Josie Rourke – 19:00, Thursday 30 January 2014 at the Lighthouse and others.
