So Ireland has a brand new scuzzy, alt-rock, all-male trio. They’re called Women’s Christmas (Feast of the Epiphany, January 6th if you must know!) and they’ve just released a wonderfully lo-fi song – and equally lo-fi but thoroughly endearing video – to whet our appetites. It’s called ‘Bubble On A Shelf’ and can be seen below. The band features members from several Irish indie-rock outfits (Villagers/Jogging/I ♥ The Monster Hero) and Women’s Christmas play Whelans at midnight tonight (opening for No Monster Club) as well as playing support to Bouts at Bouts’ album launch in The Grand Social, Dublin on Saturday, October 26th. Check ’em all out if you can!
