New Irish Music – Bouts – Jittery/Nothing Good Gets Away

bouts

Irish indie-alt-rock outfit BOUTS have just unleashed the playful new music video for their song ‘Jittery.’ It comes just a week (and a bit) ahead of the release of their brand new (debut) album Nothing Good Gets Away. The album is getting both a physical (vinyl/CD) and digital release on October 25th and the band launch it the very next day, October 26th, in The Grand Social, Dublin at 8pm. Admission on the night is €10 and the album can be pre-ordered from the band’s own newly incarnate imprint – Wonky Karousel RecordsHERE.

The album was recorded in Dublin, in both K9 Studios and Guerilla Sound Studios, and was mixed at The Hive in Vancouver by Jessie Gander (of JapandroidsCelebration Rock fame). If last years double A-side ‘Get Sick//Turn Away‘ and last month’s album-teaser single ‘6.0‘ are anything to go by, we’re all in for a treat. Especially me. I had the chorus of ‘Get Sick’ stuck in my head for literally three months of this year! Them Bouts’ boys sure know how to make a monster earworm of a tune!!

‘Nothing Good Gets’ Away will be available from October 25th in physical format from Tower Records, Elastic Witch, Freebird and Wingnut Records. Bandcamp and iTunes digital downloads of the album will be available from that date as well.
