Album of the Week – 03/07/20

Good day and welcome to another edition of ‘Album of the Week’! Sadly, it would be hard to describe this as a vintage week in terms of quality or quantity but fear not, noble reader, as there are still some moments of calm amongst the storm.

There was a temptation to go with Paul Weller and his new album On Sunset, although we do try and shy away from the obvious. There was also the wild abandon of Dream Wife and “So When You Gonna…” which was hard to resist. In the end, we went for a new and quite unpronounceable band. They are a five-piece from Hull and deliver a lovely if quite familiar shoegaze sound for your delectation!
