New Music – Glenn Jones – Flower Turned Inside-Out

Something nice on a Friday, with the first single from Glenn Jones’ new album ‘Fleeting’. The single is called ‘Flower turned inside out’ is a typical primitive guitar track that we know and love from Glenn. Enjoy it below…

Glenn played Dublin in the tiny space of ‘Molloy and Dowling’ Opticians on Kildare street a couple of years back where the audience sat and listened to his story telling and music. We hope he comes this way to support his new album!

Glenn Jones is a master of American Primitive style guitar playing. He records in unique spaces to ground each of his albums in a very specific, distinctive time and place. Fleeting was recorded in a house on the banks of the Rancocas Creek in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Jones and his recording engineer Laura Baird made no attempts to soundproof their environment, instead incorporating the sounds of crickets and birds into the recordings. The resulting album is one that only Jones, with his unparalleled skills as a storyteller and as a musician, could have created.
