Full disclosure here! My niece (Molly Crilly) who is a first-year college student composed the music for the play On Raftery’s Hill. Molly is also a brilliant fiddle player (among other instruments). I played backup guitar for Molly once at a school concert. Yes the audience was mostly kids and some parents but nonetheless I was terrified. Molly rocked it. Not a bother.
“A fiddler herself, she has captured the essence of this story in the soulful composition for solo violin. In the words of the director, Emily Thompson, the music is “exactly as I imagined it””
Molly will perform the music live during the performance on Friday 15th.
The play is on in the Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda.
