Ok, I’m a week behind at the movies, but by the sound of things, we didn’t miss very much last week. I was kind of hoping that Puss in Boots would be good, as I’ve a soft spot for the Shrek series, but it gets average reviews in most spots, so nothing to get excited about.
I’m refusing to notice the good reviews that ‘A very Harold & Kumar3D Christmas’ is getting, as it makes no sense. I’m not even sure who they are to be honest, but they’re probably a spin off from something or other. Another Earth Sounded like it could be nice and odd, but gets a beating from the critics, so another one to ignore. So we’re up to date, see, you didn’t miss very much!
In truth, I could have skipped this week also, as nothing is really happening. Sherlock Homes, Alvin and the Chipmunks and then lots of re-issues such as ‘A Wonderful Life’, that you’ve seen a thousand times before.
The one that could be worth a mention is Ballymun Lullaby that give a bit of insight into life in a part of Dublin that is largely forgotten. The tag line says it’s about ‘A music teacher trying to make a difference’. I’ll allow it, as it is Christmas!

I saw ‘Another Earth’ and I recommend it. Amazing scene with a guy playing a saw – how many movies have that?! You can listen to the music from this scene on the composer’s website http://www.scottmunsonmusic.com/news/music-in-film-another-earth-soundtrack
Another Earth looks nice and quirky alright, and I was hoping it would be good. I might head along now, thanks to your positive vibes Michelle!
