This would be a dull week at the movies, other than for one thing, the Dublin Film Festival starts today! Good news for Dublin readers.
Only one new release this week of note, which I’m not sure I could face at the moment, maybe in a few years time! ‘Inside Job’ is a documentary on how the financial crash of 2008 happened, complete with interviews with some evil bankers and politicians.
Otherwise, there’s ‘Paul’ which is the new Simon Pegg and Nick Frost movie (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the dead) which gets average reviews, even in England, where you’d expect them to glow about it! ‘Justin Beiber: Never say never’ gets strangely good reviews, considering what it is, the Irish times compares it to the Nuremberg Rallies, which I quite like!
Anyone done any research on the Dublin International Film Festival? Help me out if you have, I must book a few things.
