The Original line up of Grant Lee Buffalo play Vicar Street on Tuesday the 17th of May. Tickets at 28 euro. I loved fuzzy when it was first released in ’93 (showing my age!). I also remember them playing unannounced before the Breeders in Vicar street, when they played as ‘Hags’ wearing silly wigs!

Second gig has an interesting venue, and possibly the reason I’m mentioning it, James Vincent McMorrow has a solo show in the Pepper Canister (St. Stephens) Church on Wednesday the 27th of April. I like the idea of gigs in churches, but of the few I’ve been to they haven’t really worked, because of poor acoustics and a complete lack of atmosphere. Still, tempted by this one for some reason!
