Micah P Hinson returns to Dublin, to Crawdaddy. The video link below doesn’t really capture how odd he is, but it does capture how lovely his sound is! He has had two albums in quick sucession in recent years, ‘All dressed up and smelling of strangers’ which is a covers album, with covers of Patsy Cline and Elvis among others, and his new album Micah P. Hinson and the Pioneer Saboteurs.

He’ll probably play a bit off both of those, as he hasn’t been here since he recorded either of them. I’ve sen him twice, and on both nights he was well worth the journey. The first time he was quite drunk and much more entertaining, the second he was quite quiet, but the music remained as lovely as ever, maybe its worth buying him a few drinks from the bar!
