All Together Now – Preview

“Only 10 days until we welcome you all back to All Together Now festival at the beautiful Curraghmore Estate. With record temperatures across the country this weekend, the sunshine has returned at just the right time and has whet our appetite for our big return. The festival is set across 18 stages, featuring natural amphitheatres, secret woodland stages, rolling lawns, gentle hills and hidden forests. “

So, it’s only ten days until the All Together Now kicks off. We thought we’d have a look through some of the smaller bands that we’d recommend checking out! We’re ignoring the headliners above and having a look at the slightly smaller names!

shame – Ok, not exactly a small band but with a massive reputation for their lives performances, they’re not one you should consider missing! The band have two albums, their most recent Drunk Tank Pink was released in January.

Jessie Buckley & Bernard Butler – I’m still getting my head around the fact that these two have recorded an album together! If you’re a fan of early Suede or just want to see how this works live, check out their performance on the Late Late Show below (I know!)

Dry Cleaning – “This will REALLY cheer up those who miss Sonic Youth and some of the good angular guitar groups doing the rounds a few years ago.” – from our review of their album New Long Leg in March of last year! Yes, during the lockdown…

Billy Nomates – her self-titled debut album was produced by Geoff Barrow, so he obviously rates her! She has a great reputation for her live performances, so check her out below.

John Francis Flynn – I have seen John Francis Flynn twice this summer (including being in the queue behind him outside Beyond the Pale) and I can confirm… he’s the real deal! If you’re looking for a man that can play two tin whistles at the same time, then look no further!
