Another summer week filled with festivals and other exciting odds and ends! Outside of Dublin, there’s the Carlow Arts Festival 2017 (7 – 13th June) which includes the Festival of Writing and Ideas (9th to 11th June) at Borris House. BARE In The Woods Festival 2017 runs from 9 – 11 Jun in Laois.
There’s Minding Frankie in the Gaiety and Evita in the Grand Canal. For the smaller stages, there’s I Am A Bird Now at Theatre Upstairs and Cyclops at the New Theatre.
For live music, Agnes Obel is at the Olympia on Tuesday, Bon Iver is curating the final day of Forbidden Fruit on Monday and Eddie Vedder is at the Three Arena.
The RHA Annual Exhibition opens this week, which is always interesting. The IMMA Collection Freud Project is a must see! Vermeer and the masters of genre painting: Inspiration and rivalry has opened at the National Gallery and runs until Sept 17th.
