There’s a few new festivals in town this week, which look nice and odd! Live Collision 2017 (19 – 23 Apr 2017) is a festival of how audiences and performers collide! It’s an unusual one, so expect the unexpected.
There’s also the one day festival called Cruinniu na Casca 2017 taking place on Monday 17th April. The Customs House area has bands such as Inni-K, Crash Ensemble and Slow Moving Clouds. Smithfield has free screenings at the Lighthouse – The Secret Scripture, Song of the Sea (with one screening in Irish), Older than Ireland, The Young Offenders, The Lobster and Room. There’s also performances from Jack O’Rourke & Booka Brass Band. There’s also lots of talks and bands at Dublin Castle.
Our gigs of the week would include Peter Silberman (The Antlers) at The Unitarian Church and Happyness at Whelan’s (Upstairs). Running With Dinosaurs opens at the New Theatre and previews of Waiting for Godot at the Abbey.
The IMMA Collection Freud Project is a must see! National Gallery of Ireland has the ‘Beyond Caravaggio‘ until 14th May. Book now or feel awful silly!
