The MusicTown Festival is in full swing and has lots of odd ball events to check out! Otherwise, there’s a good selection of gigs including Damien Jurado and Giant Sand in Whelans to name but a few.
In the world of theatre, there’s a new version of Hamlet by AC productions in the New Theatre. There’s also an odd sounding event in the Complex called “Gordon Osràm’s Funeral“. We know little about it but will be reviewing it later in the week!
The Patrick Hennessy Exhibition at IMMA is worth checking out. The RHA Annual Exhibition is in full swing. The Nick Miller in IMMA also comes highly recommended.

Gigs
This week is the big week for Musictown and you can find out a full list of events here. We’ve included some below, but there really is too many to mention!
Nialler9 has a theory that the Two Door Cinema Tribute band at Whelans on Monday is the real thing, and he might just be right! He’s rarely wrong about these things. Otherwise, we’d recommend Giant Sand, Damien Jurado at Whelan’s and the Album Launch for the September Girls at The Grand Social.
