Somewhere in my head, Mogwai are still a new band, but I guess the fact that they’re playing a 20th anniversary show fairly knocks that one on the head! They are playing the Olympia on June 18th, with the extra treat of having RM Hubbert as support. Two great acts, and a little piece of Glasgow right here in Dublin! Something to look forward to.

Mogwai today announce two new shows in Ireland as part of a run of dates to mark the band’s 20th anniversary. They also announce the full supporting line-up for their two night run at Glasgow’s Barrowlands, with Loop, Prolapse
Pye Corner Audio, The Vaselines, Forest Swords and Sacred Paws joining the bill. The shows mark 20 years to the week that Mogwai met in the Glasgow living room of Stuart Braithwaite’s parents to rehearse together for the first time.

It’s definitely HubbErt. (if I used a smiley face I’d put one here)
