Finally, what songs would you include on a Seasonal Playlist (in addition to your own, of course)?

The Handsome Family’s “So Much Wine” sounds like an Irish family Christmas. I like “Christmas in Prison” by John Prine, “2000 Miles” by Mark Kozelek, “River” by Joni Mitchell, and “Joy” by Tracey Thorn, who’s one of my favourite singers. I like “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey, and “Power of Love” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, like everybody else. My favourite Christmas carols are “In the Bleak Midwinter” and “Silent Night”. “Revelations”, by Yoko Ono and Cat Power isn’t a Christmas song as such, but it feels right for this time of year.
