Phantom’s Replacement – TXFM Schedule Announced

TXFM

There were a variety of articles written about the sad demise of Phantom, ourselves included, but it seems the creature that they’re replacing it with won’t actually be all that bad! Over the last few weeks, there has been a filler station on 105.2, sounding pretty similar to what went before, if with a bit more robo-jock.

Today they’ve been broadcasting that it is ‘three days to TXFM’, so it all starts on Monday. It seems to be an attempt to re-brand the station, as a lot of familiar names are on the list announced today. Sadly, there’s no sign of Richie and Richie, but those that are there to replace them are pretty good.

We shall wait and see, but Cathal Funge in the morning should be interesting:

7am-11am Cathal Funge,

11am-3pm Claire Beck,

3pm-7pm Joe Donnelly

7pm-10pm Kelly-Ann Byrne.

There’s also a different show after 10 every night, with a few interesting shows added to the mix. King blogger Nialler9 should be fun, and looking forward to Gavin Glass also.

Monday: Souled Out – Brian Keaveney

Tuesday: The Pick Up (alt. country/Americana) – Gavin Glass

Wednesday: The Listening Post (new Irish music) – Cathal Funge

Thursday: Nialler 9 (across the board)

Friday: Transmission with Derek Byrne (electronic)

Overnight  -Music/Best Of Daytime.

Over the weekend, I’m delighted to see Nadine O’Regan is still listed, and there’s also some other familiar names on the list.

Weekend: Orlagh Donnelly, Nadine O’Regan, Paul Donegan, Paul & Johnny, the Bodytonic crew, Dee Reddy, Claire O’Dowd and John Caddell.

  1. I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the
layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?
Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one
    these days.
