Love is in the air…. everywhere I look around… do do do, do do do. Yes, it’s another one of those holidays created by greeting card companies, if you want to be a cynic. Otherwise it’s a celebration of old St. Valentine and his wild loving, who you can visit in Whitefriar street. A couple of old friends leave the stages of Dublin, and we welcome new ones, with Sive in the Abbey and the Vortex in the Gate both starting previews this week. There’s also Counter Culture and Godot has come. There’s also a lot of good gigs on in the city, with Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip, Dylan Tighe and Young Fathers. Check it all out below, and you never know, this could be the week for… love!
