Here’s another chance to see the documentary on the National, made by the brother of the lead singer! Yes, the director is Tom Berninger, who went on tour with his brothers band and brought his camera. It’s a good insight into life on tour for a band that are pretty massive over here! It’s being shown in the Pavilion, Dun Laoghaire for one night only. Full details are below.

In 2010 critically acclaimed US band The National embarked on their biggest tour to date. Seeing an opportunity to spend time with his younger brother – lead singer Matt Berninger invited Tom along. As an aspiring filmmaker, Tom too saw an opportunity and grabbed his camera. As an outsider with the cheek and irreverence of a younger brother, Tom begins to make a mischievous portrait of the band, with 200 hours of unedited live footage and interviews.
