Who would dare to go up against the mighty Hobbit? Who would be mad enough to battle the long standing franchise for the punter’s bucks? Well, basically no one, as there’s only three movies released this week, one of them being the small people with the hairy feet.
The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug is the only big release of the week, and the reviews are decent enough, but really there’s little point in talking about it, as most people know what to expect as we’re on version five at this stage. You’re either a fan of the series or you’re not!
The only review that really matters for “Far Out Isn’t Far Enough: The Tomi Ungerer Story” is here, but if you want to know what the non-horse reviewers thought, well, they pretty much agreed. Universal love for Tomi Ungerer and the documentary on his life.
The Patience Stone is the other release of the week. It sounds a worthy tale of life during war time and is based on the novel by Atiq Rahimi. The reviews are positive once more!
And that’s it! No more releases to look at. Blame the Hobbit.
