The always intriguing and enigmatic (& now also ‘late’) David Turpin is back with a free-to-download song ‘Emile’. The song is available until this Friday, August 16th and features an array of Irish musicians: Cathy Davey, Gavin Glass and Carla Gallagher to name but a few. ‘Emile’ will not be appearing on David’s forthcoming – and excellently titled – new album We Belong Dead (due out September 13th) but I guess we can take this track as a good indicator of things to come. Musically luscious and Lynchian, lyrically solid  and mysterious, and vocally Turpinesque to the bone (with David’s seductive, trademark whisper-singing working a treat), “Emile” is more than worth the nothing you will pay for it!
