Briefs – Second Coming – Dublin Fringe Festival

One of the hits of last year’s Fringe Festival, Briefs are back with their second coming. It’s a mix of comedy, acrobatics and more than a dash of camp fun! It’s not for the faint hearted, but those made of stronger stuff should enjoy it. You can find our review of last year’s show here.

Touted as ‘Aussie Cirque du Soleil meets RuPaul’s DragRace’, it’s a non-stop riot of new wigs, new briefs, new feathers and new boys, plus a new and addictive sound track. It’s burlesque with balls!

Creative producer and performer Fez Faanana, says that BRIEFS: The Second Coming will “bring out new artists, new acts and even more glitz, glitter and calamity than before”.

The show features audience favourites Shivannah and Nadja Cumminatcha as well as the award-winning Mark ‘Captain Kidd’ Winmill who takes a turn as a fabulous bird-possessed show boy in his own golden bird bath. The new Briefs line up includes the fierce Dallas Dellaforce who brings drag artistry to a whole new level and Australian circus stars Ben Lewis and Tom Flanagan of Tom Tom Crew and Circus Oz fame. Fresh-faced circus brat Louis Biggs makes his Briefs debut. Audiences can expect everything from dog show satire, intimate yo-yo tricks, wind machines, Busby Berkeley-style spectacle and the usual array of serious skills including dancing, tumbling, juggling, acro-balancing, trapeze, hula hooping, , skipping and pure circus skill held up in the most fabulous of six-inch heels.
