Just think of what is happening to Dublin this weekend, a sea of testosterone and oestrogen is arriving along with all manner of musical instruments and more egos and hair products than you could shake many a stick at. Yes, Dublin will be filled by the best and brightest in new talent this weekend and somewhere, just somewhere, in amongst the many new names is possibly the new ‘fill in the name of your favourite band’.
This is Hipster heaven, with a shocking amount of new names to drop and hair styles to emulate. 100 bands in three days, 50 from Ireland and 50 from somewhere else and it’s all part of the YouBloom music festival. You’ve no hope to see them all, but it’s hard to resist rambling through the various venues. They have the venues nicely grouped together around the temple bar area and it is only ten minute walk from one extreme to the other.
