Everyday

Yes, it’s Oscar season, so Hollywood has thrown open the flood gates from their usual trickle of dross to a steady flow of good ones (or at least ones they think will win stuff)! This week, we have a Django Unchained, which is the new one by our old friend Quentin (The Workhorse would like to state at this point that we don’t think he’s responsible for gun crime in America!). Our review of his latest effort is here (we liked it a good bit!). The other big release of the week isn’t actually all that big. It’s The Session and stars John Hawkes, Helen Hunt, William H Macy, in a story of a man in an iron lung trying to find love! We liked that a lot also, as you can see in our review here.

Otherwise, there’s Michael Winterbottom’s Everyday, which tells the story of four children separated from their father, and a wife separated from her husband, as he’s in prison! Everyone seems to like this one also, so at it too the list of must sees! The other release of the week is Monsters Inc, which has just got the 3D treatment, but it’s a gem, so always nice to see it.

In conclusion, everything is good this week! Make your own decisions on what to see…
