This album only came under my radar at the end of last year and it meant that musically 2012 ended on a high for me. I love my guitars and I love my ambient/drone so I was really surprised how Talabot’s house/techno/dance album suddenly made music feel very much alive again after what was for me an odd year of music. It’s wonderful stuff. In some ways it reminds me of the excellent Hercules and Love Affair album from a few years back. It’s crystalline, robust and inventive in a similar way to that record for me. It’s hard to put a finger on why I love this record, but I do. I might add also that the track below, “So Will Be Now… feat. Pional”, was possibly the best track of 2012.
