Not a review, but a gentle nod to the fact that there is a new GBV album in the world called Class Clown Spots a UFO. Always something to look forward to, even if they don’t always hit the mark. The point is, sometimes music feels a little jaded to these ears and Robert Pollard rarely leaves me feeling jaded. When he’s on form he has a knack for nailing some of the best melodies ever committed to pop and on the title track below he manages to stitch several of these together into a gorgeous fade-out chorus. Welcome back GBV.
