Animal Collective were possibly the coolest band on the planet according to Pitchfork for about two years, but I think the torch has been passed on (possibly to Beach house?).
They’re back with a new album in September called ‘Centipede Hz’ (they always have such silly names) and are back in Ireland to play Vicar street on Tuesday the 6th of November.
I’ve seen them live twice, and they haven’t rocked my boat on either occasion, but maybe that’s just because I’m an old fuddy duddy at this stage! They don’t sound anything like the below live, and I think I’d enjoy it much more if they did. Tickets are €28.
