I’ve been kind of ignoring this, as it’s a very odd notion. Dublin isn’t Camden, so why not call it something else? The Dublin Crawl, perchance? Anyway, it’s another shot by Meteor to take over sponsorship of all things musical, and provides an outlet for a bunch of good Irish bands and a few international ones too! The international names are Ghostpoet, We are scientists, Gaz Coombes (Supergrass) and the Mystery Jets, and I guess they’re the main attraction.
It’s a two day festival, on the 11th and 12th of May, with one day tickets for €25 and two days for 40, with gigs in just about every small venue around Dublin, such as the Grand Social, Whelans, Button Factory, Workmans Club, Upstairs at Whelans and The Village. Full details are here.
Friday – Jape, And So I Watch You From Afar, Rubberbandits, Clock Opera, D/R/U/G/S, Duke Special, Girls Names, Morning Claws, Verse Corus Verse, Angkorwat, Funeral Suits, Last Day’s Of 1984, Le Galaxie and little xs for eyes.
Saturday – Tieranniesaur, Cashier No. 9, Mystery Jets, Ghost Poet, Deaf Joe, Katie Kim, We Are Losers, Let’s Buy Happiness, Trophy Wife and Gaz Coombes (Supergrass).
