From listening to mixes on 8tracks of late I stumbled upon Wild Nothing. Wild Nothing is 21-year-old Blacksburg, Virginia songwriter Jack Tatum. His songs have a very dreamy 80s feel to them with a nicely balanced mix of The Cocteau Twins, The Cure and The Smiths all rolled into one lovely pop record. It’s 5 minutes to midnight so I barely squeezed this post in before it’s actually Saturday! Busy week, better late than never.

The guitar is pure Smiths, but I guess that’s not a bad thing. His voice is nothing to write home about though. Nice enough stuff, must check them out…
