Donal Dineen’s Small Hours Ends

Just last night, while suffering from a batch of work stress related insomnia I turned on Today FM, for Donal to lull me to sleep with his usual blend of the odd and the wonderful. The sad news is that I’ll have to find a new station to listen to during the times where sleep proves elusive, with Small Hours ending on December 1st.

Donal said of the news “I’m very grateful for all the time I’ve had doing the job I always dreamed of and I’ve enjoyed each minute of every programme over the past fifteen years.

“The response from the audience and the many music-makers who joined me in the studio has been a big reward in itself and I want to thank everybody for their valuable support and contributions. There’ll always be more to come, to be continued…”

He already has a few other strings to his bow, and one of them is ‘Parish’.

In Truth, Donal was wasted on such a bad slot, and hopefully he can find a slot somewhere else, that I can hear on a regular basis.
