Well maybe it’s because “summer” is here but I’m really loving Pure X’s album Pleasure (previously known as Pure Ecstasy). Let’s just describe the music as summer drag, slacker, washed out guitar bliss. What I really love about Pure X is their control over their palette – this is minimalist guitar, base, drums but with those limitations they paint brilliantly emotive textures.
