The Decemberists have a new album coming out on the 18th of January, and they’re giving away a taster for it, with the song ‘Down by the Water’ (was that also a PJ Harvey song?) here. As ever with these things, the price is an email address. Who would have thought they’d be such a valuable commodity!

REM’s Peter Buck is meant to play on the new album also, which I’m not sure is such a good thing! I guess they’re fans.
