I saw Tim Robbins play/ sing live with the Rouge’s Gallery about two years ago, in what was probably the last ‘Dockland’s Festival’. It was a nice idea, to hold a festival in the main square in Hanover quay, beside those red poles that they use in all the phone adds. He played along side Neil Hannon, Shane McGowan and Lou Reed among others.
Can he sing? Would anyone have paid vague attention to him without his oscar? Possibly not, but he’s back in town to play live in Whelans of all spots! 26th of Sept, with tickets at 25 euro. Here’s a sample of his work.
