PhotoIreland

Like most festivals in Ireland, this one is poorly advertised. So much so, that you’d hardly know it was on in the city, unless you happened upon it.

PhotoIreland claims to have 35 venues and 40 exhibitions, so there must be something worth seeing in it.  Some of it sounds quite fascinating, with one exhibition entitled ‘the birth of motion and colour photography’ which has pieces by the Lumiere brothers.

Another one worth seeing is Glen E Freidman, who has taken photos of the Beasite boys and Fugazi among others. He’s giving a talk in the lighthouse cinema also.

Anyone know anything in it worth seeing? Any tips?
