Album of the Week – 20/03/2023
A little bit later than planned (blame St Patrick), here is our album of the week slot!
Yes, there are some fine new releases from Ailbhe Reddy (Endless Affair), M83 (Fantasty) and Moderat (EVEN MORE D4TA).
The two closest to taking the top prize were Unknown Mortal Orchestra (V) and Yves Tumor (Praise A Lord Who Chews. But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply: Hot Between Worlds)) and you should definitely check them out below.
But… really there was only one choice, in Peter Broderick and East Forest with their beautiful new album Burren.
Album of the Week – Burren – Peter Broderick and East Forest
“Burren is lush and rich in tone and atmosphere, with enough variation to hold the attention and defy characterisation as background music. It is an album that demands and rewards close listening with its intricate arrangements and exhilarating soundscapes, which defy convention and classification.”- Cathy Brown from her Review here.
