Album of the Week – 08/07/22

This week sees new releases from Pearl Jam (Gigaton – Tour Edition), Katy J Pearson (Sound of the Morning) and Neil Young (Toast), to name but a few. There is also the return of Christopher Scott Kannberg of  Pavement fame, with the latest release from Spiral Stairs (Medley Attack!!).

It was a hard choice between Katy J and Laura, but we think Laura just about came out on top! See what you think below…

Album of the Week – Laura Veirs – Found Light

Laura Veirs today announced her new album Found Light will be released on May 20th via her own Raven Marching Band Records. While it’s technically the 12th studio LP from the esteemed Portland, OR-based artist, it also, in many ways, feels like her debut: Found Light is her very first record with co-production credits (alongside Shahzad Ismaily), and finds Veirs embracing a self-sovereignty and artistic independence she’d never known previously.
