Album of the Week – 24/09/21

This week sees a rather gorgeous 14 track release from two of the most interesting artists around today in Sufjan Stevens and Angelo De Augustine (A Beginner’s Mind). We recommend you check it out immediately and you can find it below.

There are also releases from Cold War Kids (New Age Norms 3), Anna B Savage (These Dreams EP), A Ritual Sea (A Ritual Sea),  and Public Service Broadcasting (Bright Magic). There’s even a new album from The Crayon Set (Disco Downer).

I’m sure Sufjan and Angelo will forgive us for giving our album of the week to Arrivalist’s debut album called Last of the Written Pages.

Album of the Week – Arrivalists – Last Of The Written Pages

“The music here is highly personal, there is nothing manufactured, songs are crafted with real feeling. Probably the loveliest album of the year, those who already know Pat Barrett’s music will love it, and it will hopefully drag a few more in.” – From Killian Laher’s Review which you can find here.

Words from the Arrivalists – from Pat M Barrett’s site here.

I had to sail this one alone , I had to mine through my own life , my own childhood, my memories, my siblings memories of same events , the fractured, the joyous , the arriving , the departing , a dwindling fade of 2 people who brought us to where we are now , and in many ways brought me home to finish this to write this record.
