Beacons – Daragh Muldowney – Preview
17th Feb – 14th April @ Dublin’s Copperhouse Gallery – via zoom.
Daragh Muldowney is an Irish photographer who has been exploring the natural world for almost 30 years. His new exhibition ‘Beacons’ is opening under the most challenging of circumstances! While galleries around Ireland are closed, Daragh will be personally showing people around the exhibition through zoom meetings. You can book your personal tour of the exhibition here.
You can find out more information on Daragh on his website here.
“Beacons is a photographic body of work documenting the ice road system on Lake Baikal in Siberia. It can be a hazardous journey crossing the frozen lake so the locals ‘plant’ small pine trees in the surface of the ice to act as beacons, guiding the way.
Daragh’s work is sublime and brings nature into your home – he is a multi award-winner to include IPPVA Landscape Photographer of the year / 1st in Fine Art/Minimal category in the IPA Awards (International Photography Awards) and 2nd in FEP European Landscape Photographer of the Year.”
