When Do Irish Cinemas Reopen?

When Do Irish Cinemas Reopen?

Update – The Stella in Rathmines may win the prize!
Stella Cinema – Open Now!

Well, it’s not today! Despite the Government stating the cinemas were part of Phase 3, no cinema chain seems to be open today! As far as we can see, there is hope for this Friday, as Omniplex state that they’ll be open on July 3rd (despite listing no films for that date!). We’ve had a quick look to give you the latest from each of the cinema chains and also our beloved indie/ arthouse friends.

Omniplex – July 3rd  in Rathmines, Cork, Arklow, Drogheda, Limerick, Salthill and Wexford
Odeon Cinemas – July 13th – Blanchardstown Coolock, Limerick (All other Cinemas July 20th).
IMC – Closed until Further Notice
Cineworld – Closed until Further Notice (according to their website, possibly July 10th?)
Lighthouse Cinema – July 20th
IFI Cinema – Closed utnil Further Notice
Pálás Cinema – July 20th

So we might have to wait a little longer to see releases such as Christopher Nolan’s film Tenet, which seems to be pushed back until mid-August.
