Electric Dreams: The Hood Maker
Sunday – 9pm, Channel 4
This one promises to be one of the better TV series of the year. It is based on the short stories of Philip K Dick and feels very much in the mould of Black Mirror. The cast involved is also fairly dazzling with Steve Buscemi, Timothy Spall, Bryan Cranston and Liam Cunningham to name but a few. If you’ve missed the first episode, you can catch up on Channel 4’s website here.
The Normal Heart – Sky Atlantic: Monday at 10.00pm
Another TV show with some A-list actors involved including Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts and Alfred Molina. It is set around New York in the 80s and the rise of the HIV/ Aids epidemic. Ryan Murphy is directing it, who is the man responsible for Glee and American Horror Story. Find out more about it here.
Over on planet Netflix, the fourth series of Bojack Horseman has just dropped. If you have watched the three other series, you’ve probably been counting the days. If not, then you have a lot of catching up to do. Will Arnett and Amy Sedaris star in this tale of an ageing, morose, self absorbed ex-sitcom star who just happens to be a horse.
