There’s a film festival in town this week, with IFI & Kinopolis: 9th Polish Film Festival (8th to the 11th Dec) with the best new work from Poland.

There’s a few new plays in the world of theatre, with a Murder of Crows in Theatre Upstairs, the Snow Queen in Smock alley, among others. One of the highlights is the return of Fregoli in Smock Alley with Tapes. Big the Musical has the world premiere in the Bord Gais!

This week we bid a fond farewell to one of the great hopes of the Irish music scene. Fight Like Apes are sadly no more, but they’ve got one big night in Whelans to celebrate! Otherwise, it’s not a classic. There’s Overhead, The Albatross, Lisa O’Neill, Lisa Hannigan and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. An interesting sounding one is The Color Bars Experience (Eric Pulido (Midlake), Mark Gardener (Ride), Brian Lopez (Giant Sand)) Plays Nick Drake at Vicar Street.

The IMMA Collection Freud Project is a must see! There’s also a new Hughie O’Donoghue exhibition at the Oliver Sears.
