And so, as the weeks continue to tumble past…we look out at the bright city of Dublin and say ‘what ya got for us?’
A couple of new plays, with Natural History of Hope at the Project and Othello at the Abbey. The Gay Theatre Festival also runs until May 15th, with a variety of new work and is always worth supporting!
The live music scene isn’t dazzling, but there is the Hot 8 Brass band in the Sugar Club. Dylan Tighe also has a 3D Listening Event at the Lighthouse on Tuesday in support of his new album Wabi-Sabi Soul. No, we don’t know what a 3D listening event means, but it sounds like fun!
The Patrick Hennessy Exhibition at IMMA is worth checking out. The RHA Annual Exhibition is in full swing.

Gigs
And if last week was dull, this week is… a bit worse! Still, there’s a few gigs worth a mention, particularly the Irish bands with Cian Nugent, HamsandwicH, The Mighty Stef, Roisin O. The Hot 8 Brass Band also play a couple of nights in the Sugar Club. Is there anyone that hasn’t seen them there at this stage? They may have squatters rights on that stage.
