It’s a pretty damn fine week ahead, with some great music. Too much actually, with a couple of tough choices to make. Mark Lanegan is in the Academy for a couple of nights, and he’s always great live. Saturday you could be in three places at once with Andrew Bird in Vicar Street, Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts upstairs in Whelan’s and Shonen Knife downstairs! There’s also Grant Lee Philips and BC Camplight on Sunday.
There’s a few interesting looking new pieces of theatre, with Northern Star at the Project and Father Tinker Soldier at the New Theatre. Anu’s Sunder is also running, and comes heavily recommended.
The Patrick Hennessy Exhibition at IMMA is worth checking out. The RHA Annual Exhibition is in full swing. The Nick Miller in IMMA also comes highly recommended.
