Body&Soul Festival Announces Second Round of Acts – A Bizarre and Beautiful Banquet of Music, Arts & Culture

June 17 – 19 2016 | Summer Solstice Weekend – Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath

The incredible worldwide sensation and traditional music super-group The Gloaming will take the Body&Soul stage by storm for their first-ever appearance at an Irish outdoor festival. Composed of fiddle master Martin Hayes, guitarist Dennis Cahill, sean-nós singer Iarla Ó Lionáird, hardanger innovator Caoimhin Ó Raghallaigh and New York pianist Thomas Bartlett (aka Doveman), The Gloaming recently performed a sold-out, five night residency at the National Concert Hall to unanimous critical acclaim just as their sophomore album, 2, immediately topped the Irish charts. These virtuoso musicians take the traditions of Irish music and introduce deep wells of personality and experience for a haunting and emotionally charged experience.
