The big event this week is definitely the New Year Festival which is a great idea, considering how little is on otherwise! It’s a three day festival from the 30th to the 1st, and has plenty of Music, Spoken Word and other events.
We also get the start of the First Fortnight Festival, which runs for the first two weeks of the new year (obvs). The First Fortnight is a multidisciplinary festival that aims to explore mental health, with music, theatre, talk and more.
There’s a couple more of the Oscar Movies being released this week, with Joy and the Danish Girl.
Might be a good time to catch up on IMMA, the Hugh Lane and the National Gallery… or hit the sales. I’ll leave the choice up to you…
