New Music – Oliver Cole – Unitarian Church – 18-12-15

Oliver Cole released his second album ‘Year of the Bird’ in July of this year, and now you have the chance to see him play it live in the Unitarian Church next month! A bit of a treat for all. Full details are here.

Oliver Cole ends his “Year of the Bird” in the Unitarian Church, Dublin, on December 18th 2015

The album was released to critical acclaim. It was named Irish Times album of the week, RTE Radio 1 album of the week, on Lyric FM it was Marty Whelan’s album of the week, and it was BBC Radio Ulster album of the week, to name a few.

Oliver brings an end to his “Year of the Bird” when he plays The Unitarian Church Dublin on the 18th of Dec. In this one off performance Ollie will perform, reworked versions of songs old and new accompanied by a full choir. With the Christmas feeling in the air and in the beautiful setting of the `Unitarian Church, this promises to be something very special. Expect some special guests

‘Year of the Bird’ is a dream like album, imbued with a sense of love, longing, and new beginnings. Oliver recorded the album at home, and played most of the instruments on it, but was aided and abetted in places by his long time partner in crime, Gavin Fox, as well as Binzer Brennan, Gemma Hayes, and Glen Hansard.
