The big event in theatre this week is the opening of Once, as you can see on the side of every bus around the city! There’s also a few Collapsing Horse plays in Smock Alley that are deserving of a mention along with Panned at Theatre Upstairs.
Another big week in music this week. The Longitude festival kicks off, with the indie world descending on Marley park. Saturday looks the best day with Alt-J and Caribou, but Sunday is impressive also. There’s also the Big Bang – festival of Rhythm from the 17th to the 19th. If you’re avoiding the world of festivals, there’s Bunny Wailer in the Button Factory and Art of the Song: Carole King’s Tapestry at the NCH with Cathy Davey, Gavin Glass etc.
