Music Man in Hat is an initiative set up in April by Peter Meade to raise awareness to the homeless situation in Ireland.  The aim of the campaign is to generate funding for charities.

Music Man In Hat has already received support from some of Ireland’s biggest acts
such as Hozier, Glen Hansard and Snow Patrol to name but a few.

A uniquely autographed Irish collection of music and memorabilia will be sold both largely online and at a smaller on the floor auction in Whelan’s on the night of 18th June 2015.

The auctions will close at the celebratory gig and the total raised from both auctions will be announced by Mr Ian Whyte of Whyte’s Auctioneers. Deadline for receipt of goods for online auction is 5th June 2015!!

We are appealing to all Irish musicians and members of the public who have autographed material to donate and add to this unique collection.

The problem of homelessness in Ireland is growing and urgent action is needed. All proceeds from the gig and auction will go directly toward helping those who have found themselves in homeless situations.

Help us along with Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Inner City Helping Homeless, RTÉ 2fm, Tower Records and Whelan’s to spread the word.
