The Go! Team – Whelan’s – 20-06-15

Another day, another good gig announcement. This time it’s the Go! Team in the surprisingly small venue of Whelan’s. I’d expect this to sell out in two shakes of a lambs tale! They’ve a new album on the horizon also, in the shape of The Scene Between which is out tomorrow! Love that album cover.

The Go! Team – Whelan’s – Saturday 20 June 2015.

Tickets priced €22 (inc. booking fee) go on sale this Thursday, 26th March at 10am through & usual outlets nationwide.

The Go! Team announce UK & Ireland June Tour + week of videos in association with Buzzfeed.

The Go! Team’s new album The Scene Between, the band’s first in 4+ years, will be out on 30th March via Memphis Industries. To celebrate Buzzfeed will be hosting a week of videos starting with What Dyou Say?  .

The videos have been directed by a host of different film makers hand-picked by Go! Team band leader Ian Parton including Michael Robinson and long term collaborator James Slater plus sees Ian chipping in with one himself.

The Scene Between sees Ian Parton going back to The Go! Team’s roots; he wrote, performed, and produced the entire album himself, with the help of singers from around the world. With a heavy focus on melody and with samples treated as instruments rather than the basis for the songs themselves, The Scene Between is one of the finest albums in The Go! Team catalogue yet.

The Scene Between is available for pre-order now at on pink vinyl, CD and download (and via iTunes) with instant download of the title track, Blowtorch and What Dyou Say.  Orders from the band site plus your local indie store come with a ltd edition free cassette (plus DL code) “Between the Scene Between”, Ian’s alternate take on the album.
